Obituary for Kenneth Allen McCord

Kenneth Allen  McCord
Kenneth Allen McCord, 72, of Roanoke passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 in United Hospital Center of Bridgeport following an extended illness. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 18, 1945: son of the late Louis Edward McCord and Alta Josephine (Keith) McCord. On October 17, 1992, he was married to Shelia K. (Mowery) McCord, who survives.
Kenneth is also survived by two sons: Kenneth Keith McCord and wfe Kimberly Dawn and Kasey Anthony McCord both of Roanoke, four grandchildren: Haley D. McCord, Gavin S. McCord, Jaden Shane McCord and Tyson McCord and two great grandchildren: Seton McCord and Beckett McCord. He is also survived by one brother-in-law: Fred Mowery and wife Wanda of Gassaway, one sister-in-law: Suzie Facemire and husband: Bobby of Gassaway and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by one son: Kevin “Andy” McCord and one brother: Louis K. McCord.
Kenneth is now on a permanent fishing trip in heaven and will be missed by his family and his fishing friends. He was retired head meat cutter for Kroger’s of Gassaway with 45 years of service. Kenneth was a graduate of Lewis County High School and attended the Oil Creek United Methodist Church. Kenneth’s hobbies included hunting and fishing and was accomplished at both. Kenneth’s family wants to acknowledge the special care given by the United Hospital Center Hospice staff.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Robert Riffle and Pastor Bob Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow services in the Mitchell Cemetery of Roanoke, WV.
