Nina Evelyn Hardman, 90, of Spillway Road Horner passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 Holbrook on the Hill of Buckhannon following an extended illness. She was born in Orlando, WV on February 20, 1928: daughter of the late Marion John Blake and Charlotte Ethel (Skinner) Blake. On April 14, 1949, she married Foster R. Hardman, who preceded her in death in 1962.
Nina is survived by two brothers: Faye Blake of Berlin community and Charles Blake of Horner and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Foster, Nina was preceded in death by seven brothers: Francis, Edward S. “Bud”, Wayne, Lijah “Doc”, Patrick Dudley, Lida Lee and Cecil Burton Blake and four sisters: Edna Ware, Catherine Gould, Opal Hall and Goldie Rogers.
Nina was a retired librarian with the Louis A. Bennett Public Library of Weston with over 20 years of service. She graduated Burnsville High School and was an active member of Broad Street United Methodist Church of Weston, WV. Nina loved working in the outdoors. She also liked to read. She will be missed by her family and her extended church family.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Richard Justice officiating.
