Obituary for Clayton B. Taylor

Clayton B. Taylor, 90, of 1219 12th Street Weston passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in Ruby Memorial Hospital of Morgantown following a brief illness. He was born in Weston on September 16, 1928: son of the late Branson Russell Taylor and Jessie “Mamie” (Marsh) Taylor.
Mr. Clayton is survived by one niece: Robin Etz-Taylor of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, one nephew: James R. Taylor of Fort Lauderdale, FL and sister-in-law: Jean Taylor of Akron, OH. He is also survived by special friends and caregivers: Viola and Thomas Blake of Weston. In addition to his parents, Clayton was preceded in death by two brothers: Branson and Donzell Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was a self-employed tailor and worked for Brannon’s Cleaners of Weston for 41 years. He was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church of Weston. He was also a veteran of the United States Army and also served in the Lewis County Honor Guard. Clayton was talented at sewing. He collected glassware, loved animals and gardening.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Tim Conrad officiating. Interment will follow services in the Peterson Cemetery of Weston, WV. Full military honors will be provided by the United States Army and the Lewis County Honor Guard.
