Denny always held a special place in my mind. Weighing in at 121 Lbs, he broke my leg in football practice. He had a mild and pleasant personality and an ever-present smile. I know that he will be sorely missed, but he will always be fondly remembered.

I wish to extend my sincere condolences to Denny's family. I remember him as a friend and as a fine athlete. He was one of my teammates on the Weston High School football, baseball, and basketball teams and on the Weston American Legion baseball team. He and I were also members of the Hi-Y Club at WHS, and later he and I served in Weston's 1092nd Engineering Battalion National Guard unit.
Sincerely, Dr. Bernie Allen, Conway, SC
